Children learn best through doing. Our child-led approach helps each child build confidence, resilience, and problem-solving skills in an engaging, supportive atmosphere. As a Montessori inspired nursery, we use these principles to make learning both effective and joyful.

Flying Start & funded childcare

Bijou is a registered Flying Start provider, offering funded early education and childcare places for eligible families. We also deliver Foundation Phase Nursery Education for 3–4 year olds funded by the Local Authority. Ask our team for details on the Childcare Offer for Wales (30 hours of funded childcare for working parents of 3–4 year olds) and how it works alongside our sessions.

Quality & accreditation

We are inspected by Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW registration W15/00001742) and are proud to hold a “Good” rating at our most recent inspection. We also hold a 5-star food hygiene rating from the Food Standards Agency. All staff undergo enhanced DBS checks, are qualified in Paediatric First Aid, and receive ongoing professional development in safeguarding, Welsh language, and early years best practice.

Your child's settling-in

Every child and family is unique. We offer a flexible settling-in period so children can adjust at their own pace — with shorter initial sessions, familiar routines from home, and a named key worker who will build a strong bond with your child and keep you updated via our FAMLY app.
